This lens consists of 8 elements in 6 groups optics glass, in which two of them are ED glass. Extra-low Dispersion glass (ED) helps eliminate secondary chromatic aberration (green-magenta color fringes) in which can reduce the sharpness. IF (Internal Focusing) means you can adjust the focus by simply turning the focus ring to moving some elements  inside the lens barrel without any movement on the outside of the lens. The lens also features a 360° rotatable tripod mount and focus preset ring.
