The Grave of Sultan Malikussaleh


        
              Meurah Silau who Known as Sultan Malik Al Saleh (1261-1289) is the first king of the Kingdom of Samudera Pasai. Kingdom of Samuder Pasai is the first Islamic kingdom of Indonesia's and stood in the 13th century. The Government of Indonesia made ​​the grave of Sultan Malikussaleh located in the Beuringen Village, Sub-district Samudera, North Aceh District as historical sites and cultural heritage protected area.




            The Tomb of Sultan Malikussaleh made ​​of granite stone bearing with the Arabic script, which means  "ini kubur Almarhum yang diampuni, yang taqwa, yang menjadi penasehat, yang terkenal, yang berketurunan yang mulia, yang kuat beribadat, penakluk yang bergelar Sultan Malik Al-Saleh yang faham agama yang berpindah (wafat) dalam bulan Ramadhan tahun 690 Hj." Next to the tomb of Sultan Malikussaleh there is the tomb of Sultan Muhammad Al Malik Adh Dhahir who is the son of Sultan Malik al-Saleh, and inherit the throne of Samudera Pasai.



          According to the story when the devastating tsunami disaster that hit Aceh and surrounding December 26, 2004.The grave of Sultan Malikussaleh located not far from the coast survived from the brunt of the tidal waves. In fact all the buildings in the Beuringen village already collapse to the ground but the tomb of Malikussaleh was untouched seawater. Hundreds of people fled to the tomb area is also survived from the brunt of the waves of seawater.
